Airborne Gravity Quality Control

galileoQC is a Python package for quality assurance and control of airborne gravity[1] data. It covers both gravimetry and gradiometry from a range of instrument types and was designed for use in QC of data collected under contracts based on the Geoscience Australia Airborne Gravity Deed [2]. It has also proved useful in the QC of many other airborne gravity surveys. Some functions are provided for the QC of aeromagnetic data.

Throughout this documentation, “gravity” is used in a general sense to refer to both the acceleration (measured by a gravimeter) and the gradient (measured by a gravity gradiometer) of the gravity field.
